If you are planning a trip to Mexico and looking to stay at a beautiful resort, I highly recommend the Etereo in Riviera Maya, Mexico. This hotel exceeded all of my expectations. From the moment you arrive at the hotel, you are greeted by someone blowing a conch to announce your arrival.

Once you step onto the property, there is a Shaman there to cleanse you as you set your intention for the trip. From that moment on, you are literally stepping into paradise.

The hotel is breathtaking. The perfect place for a weekend getaway with friends or family. I did a girls trip with my mom and sister and we had such an amazing time. From the staff, to the incredible food, you will not be disappointed.

Let me start off by saying the food is out of this world. They have two restaurants on the property; ITZAM, serves breakfast and dinner, and Che Che, serves lunch and dinner.

We tried almost everything on the breakfast menu during our stay. Everything from the egg burrito, mango french toast, to the acai bowls and oatmeal, everything was to die for. If they have the donuts, make sure you get them as they are almost as good as Krispy Kreme. For dinner, we ordered the Prawns almost every night. I highly recommend them.

Che Che was by far our favorite the steak tacos *chefs kiss* but you honestly can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. We also had the shrimp tacos, ceviche, nachos, and so much more. You can also get food ordered from this restaurant to the pool.

The hotel offers a spa, yoga classes, and a variety of classes for purchase as well. Although we did not get a chance to try the spa, it looked beautiful and we heard so many great things from the people who booked a massage. I will definitely be sure to book one next time we go.

The rooms are beautiful and super spacious. We had the Ocean Studio with Plunge Pool and since it was three of us, we had a rollaway bed in the room and there was still plenty of space.

There are 2 pools on the property; an adult pool and a kids pool. Although this hotel does allow kids, I would say there were mostly adults there.

The hotel is located in Rivera Maya and about 40 mins from the Cancun airport. The hotel offers a car service or you can book your own. I recommend CARM Tours & Transfers which I have used many times in the past and highly recommend them as they are safe, reliable, and on time.
