My love for acai bowls is like no other. I always tell myself that one day when I retire I will move to Hawaii and open up an acai stand on the beach, but until then I will just continue to make them at home.

I used to buy these all the time from different juice stores, but I was spending way too much money and just figured I’d make them myself. Fast forward to now, I make these almost on a daily basis & I actually prefer making them myself. Check out my recipe below and let me know what you think.

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 oz of liquid. I prefer to use Cashew or Almond milk as I love how it taste and it makes the base thicker and more smoothie like.
  • 1 scoop of protein powder. I use a vanilla plant based protein powder.
  • 1 cup of frozen fruit. I love to used a mixed fruit bag with mango, pineapples, coconut & berries, but any type of frozen fruit you like will do.
  • 1 pack of Original Blend Sambazon Acai. I let this run over hot water for just a few seconds so it is easier to blend.

Now its time to blend all of your ingredients together. You want to make sure the base is like a thick smoothie.

Once you have your base done, pour it into a bowl.

Finally, top it off with fresh fruits. I love to use bananas, blueberries, raspberries & kiwi. I also sprinkle sliced almonds & goji berries on top and drizzle it off with raw honey (best part).

Enjoy!
